ALEJMUN is an international Model United Nations conference run in Prague by students. Otherwise Solutions built its website and delegate portal and has looked after the digital side ever since — pro bono, as support for student education.

An audit first, then development

ALEJMUN is a nonprofit, so we started with an infrastructure audit and found where the conference was losing money. We moved fee collection to a payment system with a better rate and secured the Stripe fee discount for nonprofit organizations — commission costs fell by more than half. We replaced the hosting with one that is easier to work with, and the server bill dropped almost fourfold. And the website itself, which had lived in a page builder with a paid subscription, we rebuilt on a custom theme with page editing right in the admin: the subscription is gone, the site loads three times faster and runs more stably.

The delegate portal

We then built the portal — a platform of the conference's own, where the whole event now lives: delegates go from application to their committee online, and the secretariat manages admissions, seats, and payments from one admin panel. The system is built around how Model UN actually works and outlives team changes: the secretariat is new every year, while the portal stays — we simply get it ready for the next season.

More than development

This is how we approach every project: we don't just deliver a website or a system — we start with a full audit and cut the waste: unfavourable commissions, overpriced hosting, subscriptions that earn nothing. The client gets a quality product and an infrastructure that costs exactly what it should.
